UC hosts MetaRed X entrepreneurship network meeting with representatives from 40 higher education institutions
MetaRed X is a global collaborative network that aims to promote entrepreneurship in higher education by sharing best practices, methodologies and tools.
The 2nd National and International Meeting of MetaRed X—Collaborative Network of Entrepreneurship Units of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)—is being held at the University of Coimbra (UC) until Wednesday, 23 October, bringing together 46 participants from 40 HEIs in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Peru, and Portugal.
MetaRed X is an international collaborative network whose central mission is to strengthen higher education institutions in the area of entrepreneurship, by providing them with tools and sharing best practices to enhance their interaction with local, regional, national, and international entrepreneurship ecosystems.
The network is divided into four areas: Management of Entrepreneurship Units; Education and Training; Entrepreneurship Ecosystems; and Entrepreneurship Indicators.
The meeting will be attended by the Rector of the University of Coimbra, Amílcar Falcão, current President of MetaRed X Portugal, and the UC Pro-Rector for Entrepreneurship, Gabriela Fernandes, Executive Secretary of MetaRed X Portugal.
MetaRed X Portugal is part of MetaRed X Global, an initiative of Universia and Santander Universidades for the promotion of entrepreneurship among Ibero-American universities.
