Next Saturday, July 6th, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, the Botanical Garden of the University of Coimbra (JBUC) is organising a city tour inspired by the classic book 'Flora Lusitanica' by Avelar Brotero, aimed at uncovering Coimbra's lesser-known botany.

During the tour, participants will visit locations where Brotero collected various plants mentioned in his work. Participation is free, but registration is required [here].

This initiative coincides with the city's festivities, and aims to celebrate Coimbra's botanical significance, particularly honoring Avelar Brotero, a distinguished botanist and former director of the Botanical Garden.
