The first webinar of the EC2U - European Alliance of City-Universities Doctoral Network on Sustainable Cities and Communities will be held on Wednesday, 29 January.
The initiative targets PhD students in the fields of Sustainable Development, Sustainable Cities, Urban Ecology, Urban Studies, Civil Engineering, and Urban Planning, aiming to serve as a meeting point and foster potential collaborations among doctoral students.
This webinar will feature Manuel Gameiro, professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, (Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra), and leader of EC2U Work Package 6 – UNSDG #11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, who will discuss 'Opportunities for research collaboration and scientific mobility for PhD students within the EC2U Alliance in the field of Sustainable Cities and Communities', and Adriana Zaiț, Lecturer at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iași, will also deliver a presentation on 'Bridging the gap between doctoral research and impact – what skills do we need?' Participating students will present and discuss their research topics.
This first webinar of the EC2U Doctoral Network on Sustainable Cities and Communities is organised by the University Alexandru Ioan Cuza of Iași (UAIC), under Work Package 6 of the EC2U Alliance, led by the University of Coimbra.
This doctoral network aims to enhance research mobility among PhD students from EC2U member universities, support them in developing essential skills to maximise the social impact of their research, foster networking among third-cycle students across Europe, and provide a collaborative environment for presenting and discussing their research topics.
This activity aligns with the EC2U's overarching strategy to foster academic collaboration and knowledge exchange among students and researchers from different European higher education and research institutions.
Participation is free but prior registration is required [here].
