matemática podem inscrever-se até 31 de março.
Applications are now open for the Bridging Academia and Industry Society Mentoring Programme. The initiative, promoted by EC2U - European Campus of City-Universities, is aimed at PhD students in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) interested in pursuing a career outside academia.
Applications are open until 31 March and are open to students from the eight universities of the EC2U alliance: the University of Coimbra, the University of Poitiers (France), the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena (Germany), the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași (Romania), the University of Salamanca (Spain), the University of Pavia (Italy), the University of Turku (Finland), and the Johannes Kepler University of Linz (Austria).
This mentoring initiative aims to create new links between academia and industry. Mentors are professionals with a PhD in a STEM field, currently working in industry, who will help participants map out their careers in the current job market. PhD students will have the opportunity to discuss career opportunities, learn from the experiences of established professionals, and participate in interactive mentoring sessions where they can ask questions about careers in industry.
After the Webinar, participants can also book up to two additional one-to-one mentoring sessions, subject to the mentor's availability. There are six mentors in the programme, from the fields of biotechnology, physics, chemistry, marketing, medicine, cybernetics, and statistics.
The event will be held online (via Zoom), on 28 April from 14:00 to 16:00 (Portugal time). Registration is available here.
