New facilities for the UC Centre for Business and Economics Research
The new premises, located in the main building of the UC Geophysical Institute, were inaugurated on 17 February.
The inauguration of the new facilities of the Centre for Business and Economics Research (CeBER) of the University of Coimbra (UC) took place on Monday, the 17th of February at noon. Located in the main building of the UC Geophysical Institute, the new premises will contribute to the growth of the research centre.
The new space includes four research offices, a training room, a meeting room, management and administrative offices, a rest area, a pantry, sanitary facilities, and a booth for people with reduced mobility.
Founded in 2016, CeBER focuses on scientific and applied research in economics and management, as well as promoting multidisciplinary collaboration, researcher training, dissemination of scientific knowledge and provision of services to the community. Initially based at the UC Faculty of Economics, the Centre's expanding activities required a larger space to accommodate the team and support its continued growth.
The inauguration ceremony included speeches by Alfredo Dias, UC Vice-Rector for Heritage, Buildings and Tourism; Luís Dias, CeBER Director; José Manuel Mendes, Director of the UC Faculty of Economics; and Amílcar Falcão, UC Rector.
