Christmas Gathering of SASUC’s Childcare Services: A Celebration of Community and Togetherness

The Christmas gathering of the Childcare Services (SAI), held on 19 December in the auditorium of the Central Unit in Campus II, began with a concert by the artist Alex Lima, who enchanted the audience, especially the children. The families then took to the stage to give a heartfelt performance, adding even more charm and emotion to the celebration.

The festivities continued at the Campus II Food Complex (CAP II), where the community enjoyed a shared snack in a relaxed and happy atmosphere. This was also the time for an exhibition of children's experiences in the nursery and kindergarten. The display highlighted the educational work and enrichment activities promoted throughout the year.

This event strengthened the bonds between the families and the educational team, celebrating not only Christmas but also the spirit of unity and care that characterises the work of the SASUC Childcare Services.

The nursery and kindergarten are part of the indirect social support services provided by the SASUC to the UC community. Priority is given to the children of students, as well as to the children of teachers, researchers and technical staff at the University of Coimbra. However, where possible, places are also offered to applicants not directly associated with the UC.
