Applications open for 'UC Summer Camp 2025'
The 15th edition of 'Universidade de Verão' will take place from 27 July to 1 August, with 584 places available. Applications run from 12 March to 30 May.
Applications are now open for the 15th edition of the UC Summer Camp (UV), an initiative launched by the University of Coimbra (UC) to allow secondary school students to 'experience' university life.
The 2025 edition will take place from 27 July to 1 August and will offer a wide range of activities.
One of the new features will be a scientific workshop in a field other than the one chosen. In other words, if the participant has been placed in their 1st choice, they can also attend a workshop in another field of knowledge that they have chosen as an option. This will allow participants to have contact with more than one field of knowledge, which may help them to decide which course to choose in higher education.
Students can choose the subjects that best suit their interests and future aspirations from 26 areas of knowledge. In addition to teaching, the programme includes complementary activities such as laboratory visits, lectures, workshops and other hands-on experiences that bring students closer to the real university environment and allow them to explore different academic options before entering higher education.
