9th edition of Academica Start UC presents the agents of change for 2024/2025
27 student ambassadors from the different study programmes at the University of Coimbra were sworn in at the traditional annual ceremony.
The Rector of the University of Coimbra (UC), Amílcar Falcão, urged the new Ambassadors of Académica Start UC (ASUC) to "dare to do things differently to promote the concept of entrepreneurship," highlighting ASUC as a "unique project."
Created in 2016 by the University of Coimbra and the AAC, Académica Start UC – Network of Ambassadors for Entrepreneurship is a project aimed at raising awareness, education, and training in innovation and entrepreneurship, involving UC students from various fields of knowledge. The project has the support of Santander Universidades.
The ASUC ambassadors are students from the University of Coimbra with a background in student associations, strong communication skills, dynamism, proactivity, and a desire to contribute more effectively to the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. Throughout the academic year, they receive training in several areas and are responsible for representing the UC amongst their peers in various innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives.
Since its launch in the 2016/17 academic year, Académica Start UC has involved more than 228 Ambassadors, 60,000 participants, 950 partners, and over 380 initiatives.
